IFI インテリアデザイン国際フォーラム2013のフォーラム・名古屋が2013年7月16日（火）、国際デザインセンター6階セミナールーム3にて開催されました。
International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers（略称 IFI 、国際インテリアアーキテクト/デザイナー団体連合）は1963年、50年前に北欧を中心とするインテリアデザイナー協会が、非営利団体としてコペンハーゲンに創設した国際組織であり、現在UNESCOにも認証されている国際組織です。
JID 公益社団法人 日本インテリアデザイナー協会とIFIの関係は、1977年アジア地区から初めてのメンバーとして加盟。以来隔年毎に開催される総会に代表を派遣し、この間 IFI の出版活動や資料提供、人的交流に寄与しました。
1995年の第15回総会および国際会議を名古屋市の後援を得て招致に成功し、 IFI 史上に残る国際会議となり、JID の国際的貢献と日本におけるインテリアデザインの社会的理解を深める好機となりました。
フォーラム名古屋は、ゲストスピーカーに丹羽浩之氏と江藤眞二氏をお招きして「ショールームリテラシー」についてお話いただきました。
「ショールームはメーカーとして直接エンドユーザーと触れる場であり、そのエンドユーザーに商材とともに、企業イメージ自体を直接届ける場である。それによって企業ブランディングも含めたデザイン的な戦略を構築しながら、エンドユーザーに印象深い企業イメージを明確に伝える最前線の場となる。」と提唱されました。
引き続きデザイントークが開催され、「Design Business」についてパネリスト ： IFI Board memberによるディスカッションが行われました。コーディネーターは宮地敦子様にお願いしました。
午後5時から、会場を国際デザインセンター4階デザインギャラリーに移し、河村たかし名古屋市長と IFI President の Shashi Caan 氏をお招きして「インテリア宣言」承認式が開催されました。
「 IFI インテリアデザイン宣言」は IFI （国際インテリアデザイナー団体連合）が、デザイナーの職能を遂行し、創造的な解決を提案することで豊かな社会と文化づくりに貢献することを宣言したものです。
午後5時30分から開催された「Welcome reception & Cocktail party」は IFI ボードメンバーを迎えて、世界各国からデザイナーが参加、会場狭しと盛会のうちにフォーラム・名古屋は幕を閉じました。
