What I thrifted vs how I styled it at home #thrift #vintage #antique #homedecor #interiordesign
I found this 1940s cabinet on Facebook Marketplace for $50 in pretty rough shape and refinished it to give it a second life as a vintage-inspired home bar. Restoring older furniture instead of replacing it is one of my favorite ways to bring character into a home, especially when a piece has good proportions, useful storage, and details that are hard to find in newer furniture.
After refinishing the cabinet, I styled it with thrifted and secondhand decor, including a vintage French ice bucket, silver-plated serving pieces, a brass candlestick lamp, and other collected barware. Mixing aged metals, vintage accessories, and functional decor helps create a layered, old-world look without making the space feel overly themed.
This Facebook Marketplace furniture makeover is a good example of how a damaged vintage cabinet can be restored, repurposed, and styled into something completely functional. If you love furniture restoration, thrift flips, vintage furniture makeovers, thrifted home decor, secondhand decorating, home bar styling, moody interiors, collected homes, old-world decor, vintage barware, and affordable Facebook Marketplace finds, this one was absolutely worth saving.
