【ルームツアー】中庭のある平屋「建築家の自邸」

I think that about 80% will be decided by the design of the window. By making a window in the direction that is easy to pull out and creating a comfortable place I think you can create a comfortable and comfortable home with nature.

Hello everyone , My name is Shigehiro Yamada from SYNC that a design office in Seki City, Gifu Prefecture. Today I would like to introduce you to my home, office and cafe. This site is a place called an agricultural promotion area with only rice fields around it.

I was able to buy that end, so I provided a big opening windows toward the rice field, and I tried to design it so that it is an open space while being closed around.

If you design it normally, it will be a big building with a sense of intimidation by creating a home, an office, a cafe and a garage. I wanted to avoid that, so I kept the height of the building lower anyway. I tried to give it a modest impression.

Also, regarding the color of the exterior, it is called the black Galvalume roof and Greige. The material called Soton Wall is scraped off using a color between gray and beige. It has good durability, and does not easily get dirty, and has a calm color that does not easily change over the years.

After all, the most important thing is that I want a simple appearance that will not get tired even after many years. I want to create a simple and comfortable space even after decades, rather than having a very strange shape. One of the most important things is the design of the equipment.

Equipment is absolutely necessary in the building, such as an antenna, an outdoor unit of the air conditioner, a water heater, and a ventilation fan outlet. By designing it invisibly at all at the stage of design, it becomes possible to eliminate a lived in feeling and a simple, a special atmosphere is created.

There are two things that I value in design. The first is that we want to get rid of the lace curtains. When you look at a city or a house normally, most of the houses have lace curtains closed.

I felt awkward, and I wondered why I couldn’t open the lace curtain. I was worried about the eyes even though I put on a large transparent glass.

By reading the site and creating windows in a direction that is easy to see through, we can create a space that does not require lace curtains at all. By doing so, it will be possible to open the windows fully from daytime, and create an open and privacy-preserving space.

The second is a natural design that does not sacrifice functionality. It’s easy to think that if it’s cool, it’s not easy to use, or if maintenance is difficult. But, as the word “functional beauty” implies, I’m thinking about the balance between being cool and easy to use. About the approach of the building.

It’s one of the most important parts of me, but the approach when walking from the outside to the inside is a very important device to amplify the excitement inside.

For that, we walk as long as possible when entering from the road and place the entrance door in a position where it cannot be seen from the outside, so that the expectation for the inside is further amplified.

In the case of my house, it’s divided two entrances that the main entrance, and the shoe cloakroom for my family. That way, the main entrance is always neat, even if the family entrance is always left with shoes off.

Also, the ceiling of the LDK is high, the windows are large and the space is quite open, while the ceiling of the entrance is quite low, and there are few windows to make it a little darker. By deliberately creating a dark space, we created a contrast that became brighter

When we entered the LDK, and we devised a way to make it feel bright and wide. About the garage. The built-in garage creates a flow line that allows you to enter inside without getting wet even if you put the car on a rainy day.

The LDK has a high ceiling and a sloped ceiling that climbs to the north according to the roof slope. The large opening that opens in the courtyard is fully opened, giving the impression that the LDK has doubled.

The north window is designed so that when you sit on the sofa, you can only see the sky. Also, I use a lot of house fixtures, but the TV board has the effect of stretching the floor and making it feel wider by floating in the air.

By designing the custom kitchen, which has a strong presence, to make it float inside, it gives a light impression and has the effect of making it feel wider. Also, the wall on the back of the kitchen is usually a wall,

But making it glass has the effect of connecting to a private room so that you can see what the child is doing. Also, the windows in the children’s room are a little lower than the usual ones.

By doing so, when you sit at the dining table, you can see through the children’s room to the outside, so you can feel a more open space. About the courtyard. The courtyard floor is tiled. It is a completely private space surrounded by walls on all sides and cutting out only the sky.

By connecting from the floor of the living room to the flat, you can feel that the living room becomes wider continuously in combination with the wooden booklet with full opening. Regarding private rooms, you can create a wider space by connecting to the corridor by partitioning with three movable partitions.

Children’s rooms are often unnecessary in the future, so I’m thinking of using long time. Currently, it is a Japanese-style room with 8 tatami mats and a loft with 4 tatami mats,

But we’re planning to create a partition wall according to the growth of the child and make it into 2 sections such as 5 tatami mats + 3 tatami mats and a loft. The windows are also designed to be a little lower than ordinary ones,

So that you can study while looking at the scenery of the rice fields when you sit at your desk. As for the toilet, the only lighting fixture is the round ball in the back. The ventilation fan is designed like a speaker near the floor.

It is installed in that position to absorb from a place close to the scent like a functional meaning , and not to come into the line of sight like a neat design.

Regarding the washroom, the mirror storage from wall to wall is made, and the washbasin is floated inside to give a light impression. It also has a functional meaning that you can put a trash can, a health meter, and an undressing basket underneath by floating it inside.

And most importantly, there is no washing machine that should normally be here. Just because there is nothing it that is taken for granted, it becomes a little extraordinary space. I didn’t make a Japanese-style room, but I set up a laundry in a space of four and a half mats.

The point is to put a washing machine here, normally it is quite hard work to carry wet laundry from the washroom and bring it to the drying space. So, change my mind and carry the dry things first, then wash them in the laundry and dry them in one step.

By making this kind of laundry, you can create a space where you can’t see the laundry from anywhere and you can leave it dry. The office keeps the ceiling height quite low. The structural material is elastic to create an attic-like atmosphere.

By keeping the ceiling height low, it becomes a space like a tent at the time of camping, and it becomes a calm space protected. This makes it an effective space for concentrated work. Also, the office windows are elongated and 5 meters wide. It’s getting higher and higher in the south and north.

Through the courtyard, the living room windows, south and north, it has all 5 meters wide. Actually, when viewed from the office, the line of sight can be seen through the courtyard from the window of the living room to the mountains widely. There is a built-in bookshelf on the wall in the meeting space.

I put my favorite things, miscellaneous goods and books here, but when the customer sits down, they can see that side. By seeing the wall filled with my favorite things, customers can naturally get a glimpse of my hobbies and find something in common with me.

It is a bookshelf on the wall like a presentation board that you can feel that it does fit or not. Also, by dividing the space into swords, you can create a theme for each square, and it looks like a gallery, so it becomes a cohesive space as a whole.

The cafe is a very small cafe with 15 seats, A window like a picture frame is made by cutting out the wide view of the rice fields on the east side with a large opening. The furniture is luxuriously made with original tables and Hans Wegner chairs.

The floor and walls are made of oak. Using solid wood floors with your feet makes me feel more luxurious, and I use it like overseas. The most important thing in designing a house is to design it according to the site.

There is no same site, and each customer’s request is different, so it is impossible to have the same floor plan everywhere.

The important thing I value about “designing that you don’t have to use lace curtains” is important to put windows in a direction that you can see through and not be seen by anyone.

Just because it’s on the south side, you don’t have to open the window always, also on the north and east, the west sun will come in, so it is necessary to devise a little but, It is a very important point to attach a window in a direction that is easy to pull out.

I think that about 80% will be decided by the design of the window. I think you can create a comfortable space naturally by creating a window in the good direction of the passage.
